Inspired by our ancestors’ fishing traditions, A Caseta de Sil is a charming guesthouse with a seafaring spirit in Lira,Carnota.The guesthouse stands on the site of my grandfather’s old fishing hut, the Buzo Dosil, who helped dismantle the ship Ariete of 1966.
We have carefully preserved several pieces from that historic vessel, which are now part of A Caseta de Sil: his original diving suit, which inspired our logo, as well as a ship’s wheel and a compass from the vessel. These pieces keep A Caseta de Sil’s connection to the sea and Lira’s fishing tradition alive, while the restoration of the property blends our family and maritime heritage with modern comfort overlooking the Atlantic.
Here, we want to offer you a peaceful stay connected to the sea and the rhythm of life in Lira, the perfect base from which to discover Carnota and the Costa da Morte.

The four rooms at A Caseta de Sil are designed for you to enjoy slow tourism. with a peaceful stay in Carnota. Each room has its own personality and features, with spaces inspired by the landscape and the maritime tradition of Lira.
Two of our rooms feature a private Jacuzzi, an option especially suited to couples looking for a relaxing getaway and a few days to unwind by the sea.
From A Caseta de Sil, you can enjoy the surroundings of Lira, Carnota and Monte Pindo, one of the most distinctive landscapes along this stretch of the Galician coast.

In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast in these peaceful spaces. Our breakfasts include locally made artisan bread, freshly baked homemade pastries, seasonal fruit and fresh juice, so you can start the day at an unhurried pace and savour the flavours of Carnota.
